Our Beliefs

At True Riches Academy, our beliefs begin and end with Jesus.

Jesus is the fullest and final revelation of God.
If we want to know what God is like, we look to Jesus. His life, His teachings, His cross, and His resurrection show us the heart of God without contradiction.

God is good, and there is no darkness in Him.
We reject images of God that portray Him as violent, cruel, or divided against Himself. The goodness of God is not an abstract idea. It is revealed in Christ.

Scripture is inspired and must be read through Christ.
We believe the Bible bears faithful witness to God, but Jesus is the lens through which all Scripture is understood. Where interpretations conflict with the life and teachings of Christ, we choose Christ.

The Kingdom of God is present and active now.
The Kingdom is not only a future hope. It is a present reality breaking into the world wherever love, mercy, justice, and reconciliation take root.

Fear is not the engine of the Christian life.
Perfect love casts out fear. We believe fear-based religion distorts the gospel and hinders spiritual maturity. Christ invites us into trust, not terror.

Jesus taught and embodied nonviolence.
We believe the way of Jesus is the way of enemy love, peacemaking, and self-giving sacrifice. The cross is not a transaction to pay off an offended God but a revelation of how God, who is Love, overcomes evil without violence or even coercion.

Peacemaking is not optional for followers of Jesus.
Jesus did not suggest peacemaking. He commanded it. We believe nonviolence is not weakness, but the only response strong enough to end the cycle of human violence.

Following Jesus means obeying His commands.
Discipleship is not just believing the right things. It is learning to live as Jesus lived, love as Jesus loved, and respond to the world as Jesus did.

Transformation begins within.
The renewal Jesus calls for starts in the heart and mind. A quiet, Christ-centered interior life is the soil where peace grows.

The Holy Spirit leads us into truth, peace, and love.
We believe the Spirit forms Christ within us, guiding us away from violence, pride, and fear, and into humility, wisdom, and love.

The gospel reconciles and heals.
In Christ, the divisions of Jew and Gentile, free and slave, rich and poor, male and female are all dismantled. Hostility between “us and them” has been disarmed forever through the cross of Christ. One new humanity has been formed, grounded in love for God and love for neighbor as ourselves.

The goal of faith is love.
All theology, doctrine, and practice are measured by this fruit. If it does not lead us to love God and love others more fully, it has missed the mark.

True riches are not found in a religion.

They are found in love, for God is love.
