Dear friends,
I am excited to announce the release of our latest podcast episode, “God and Guns (Part 1),” now available on TrueRichesAcademy.com and all major streaming platforms.
This episode is the first in a critical and timely series where we explore the intersection of faith and firearms, a topic that resonates deeply in today’s society.
In this episode, I delve into the complex and often controversial subject of God and guns. Whether you are wrestling with questions about guns as a potential form of self-defense, seeking to understand the true nature of discipleship, or simply curious about a Christ-like response to violence, this teaching offers clarity, encouragement, and a call to embody the radical love and peace of our nonviolent master, Jesus.
We examine Jesus’ teachings on nonviolent love and turning the other cheek, contrasting them with the modern-day fascination with guns and violence in the United States. I argue that Christians should not resist evil to the point of committing an act of homicidal violence, as emphasized by Jesus, Paul, Peter, the early church, and even Martin Luther!
We also explore whether Christians should kill for religious liberty and call into question the belief that the Second Amendment is a natural right bestowed upon modern Christians by God.
This teaching challenges us to consider the true essence of following Christ, emphasizing that His kingdom is not advanced through force or arms but through peace and sacrificial love.
I hope you will join me for this important teaching. Tune in now to “God and Guns (Part 1)” and let’s embark on this journey of understanding and reflection together.
