VIDEO TEACHING SUMMARY: In this second teaching, the vital difference between the Kingdom of man from the Kingdom of God.

America was birthed in rebellion, built on slave labor, enriched by its two largest exports of rum and tobacco and divided over its own founding claims of “equality for all” in the Civil War.

In my own research, I was unable to identify another country in history whose inhabitants engaged in a full-blown civil war to protect the practice of slavery.

Any historical examination of America’s origins, which fails to incorporate its pagan Greco-Roman philosophical heritage, its savage genocide of the native population centers, its dependence upon the subjugation of African slaves, and its violent opposition to, and overthrow of, monotheistic Christian monarchy, are merely myths created to soothe men’s conscience.

In his autobiography, Benjamin Rush shares unusual memory he had of Charles Thomson, the Secretary of the Continental Congress. Rush recalled Thomson as “a man of great learning and general knowledge.”

According to Rush, Thomson “was once told in his presence, that he ought to write a history of the revolution. ‘No (said he), I ought not, for I should contradict all the histories of the great events of the Revolution, and show by my account of men, motives, and measures, that we are wholly indebted to the agency of Providence for its successful issue. Let the world admire the supposed wisdom and valor of our great men. Perhaps they may adopt the qualities that have been ascribed to them, and thus good may be done. I shall not undeceive future generations.’”

Above all others, Christ followers should understand the true spiritual nature of the deception that surrounds us.
